We need your help to save polar bears in Alaska.
In 2017, Congress approved a plan to open parts of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for oil and gas drilling. Seismic testing is part of the first step in the process and helps determine the location of oil and gas deposits. Seismic testing is also loud and highly disruptive, and the heavy equipment and noisy blasts associated with this type of industrial activity do not belong in a wildlife refuge.
We’re sending the urgent letter below to officials in Alaska, asking them to refrain from issuing permits for seismic testing, noting the risk it poses to polar bears in the region. We must fight for permanent protection of the Arctic Refuge Coastal Plain.
Will you give polar bears the voice they deserve by signing our comment letter?
